Since I started backpacking in my early twenties, I filmed my journeys. Film is a great way to tell a story and a camera can be a great buddy to talk to on longer journeys. With a camera you’re never alone.

My films have been screened during film festivals in different countries. “Why we go out” has won an award for best film (category Semi-Pro) during the Noorderlijk Film Fesitval in the Netherlands.

Since five years I organize an own independent film festival every October in Herne, Germany. The Rough Conditions Adventure Film Festival. The focus is on short adventure films with a strong personal character. No huge productions or extreme sports. Just adventure for you and me.
